McGrath will focus on expanding Optiv’s presence across the country and deepening the company’s local cyber security capabilities to support the specific needs of Canadian-based organizations. Among her primary responsibilities will be leading and growing Optiv’s local team of cyber security experts dedicated to delivering a comprehensive set of solutions and services that help global organizations plan, build and run their cyber security programs. “Businesses in Canada are dealing with a number of cyber security issues such as ransomware, insider threat and cyber risk, which are some of the same problems organizations around the world tackle every day,” said Tim Hoffman, Optiv’s executive vice president of worldwide client solutions. “Organizations need a security partner they can trust—a partner that can help them develop and execute on a comprehensive security strategy that incorporates the right people, processes and technology. We are pleased to welcome her to our team.” Prior to joining Optiv, McGrath served as district manager for EMC where she led an enterprise district in Canada. Previously, she was senior vice president of transaction mail for Canada Post responsible for a $3 billion line of business with a focus on developing new electronic products and services to meet the needs of Canadian customers. McGrath also held multiple leadership positions including vice president of client operations of Xerox Business Services for Xerox Canada, which included overseeing the 1,200-person delivery arm of the company’s outsourcing division. “Optiv is clearly dedicated to helping Canadian security leaders address their specific business needs at a project, program and strategy level,” said McGrath. “I am excited to help bring Optiv’s innovative cyber security solutions and global capabilities to more Canadian organizations.” McGrath received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Calgary and attended the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton executive program and programs at the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, North Carolina. She has served on the boards of directors for Purolator, a Canadian courier company providing services internationally; the Hincks-Dellcrest Centre, a non-profit children’s mental health centre; and VHA, a not-for-profit health care organization that provides in-home, community and long-term care services.
