Optiv Security Named a "Major Player" in the IDC MarketScape for Canadian Security Services Providers

Security Services Integrator Recognized for Investment in Local Market as well as Breadth of Services and Extensive Technology Partnerships

DENVER – April 4, 2018 - Optiv Security, the world’s leading security solutions integrator, today announced that it has been named a Major Player in the IDC MarketScape: Canadian Security Services 2018 Vendor Assessment. The recognition marks Optiv’s first inclusion in this IDC MarketScape. Optiv was named a Major Player because of the company’s investment in local market growth; its breadth of consulting, operations and technology services; and its more-than 350 vendor partnerships and alliances.

Optiv’s focus is on reducing security complexity and chaos by taking a different perspective: leveraging intellectual property and data analytics to drive automation and orchestration to significantly optimize clients’ security programs while increasing efficacy. This innovative approach has been fueling Optiv’s growth, and has resulted in Optiv being positioned in the IDC MarketScape report.

In 2016, Optiv began making significant investments to expand its local cyber security capabilities to support the specific needs of Canadian-based companies. Last year, Optiv greatly accelerated its investment in Canada with its acquisition of Conexsys, a Toronto-based security solutions provider. The acquisition doubled Optiv's Canadian staff allowing the company to serve private and public entities in the country with more local resources.
