Cybersecurity Ratings

Cybersecurity Ratings describe the strength of an organization's cybersecurity posture based on a calculated rating and/or score.

The ratings can be calculated using any combination of publicly available information about the target company (including data breach history), as well as external scans of the company's web-facing technology infrastructure that can illuminate signs of compromise, poor security hygiene, or questionable user behavior. Cybersecurity ratings have the advantage of being easy to generate and can therefore be used as a way to continually monitor a target organization's security posture. These ratings are often used as a component of a third-party risk management program.
