Optiv Security Appoints New Chief Human Resources Officer to Support Continued Global Growth

Taps Former Qwest and Coors Brewing Company Human Resources Executive Jill Sanford to Lead Worldwide HR Strategy and Programs 

 

DENVER – March 12, 2019 – Optiv Security, the world’s leading security solutions integrator, today announced the appointment of Jill Sanford as chief human resources officer (CHRO). Reporting to chief executive officer Dan Burns, Sanford is responsible for developing and overseeing worldwide HR strategy and programs, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits and training, to ensure that they effectively support Optiv’s global growth strategy.

Sanford brings to Optiv more than 20 years of experience in executive-level human resources roles, including chief human resources officer at Qwest Communications International, Inc. (now CenturyLink), as well as chief people officer at Coors Brewing Company and McData Corporation. She also served as corporate counsel focused on HR benefits, executive compensation and employee benefit plans for organizations such as U S WEST (also now CenturyLink) and Holme, Roberts & Owen (now Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner). Sanford holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Wyoming, a master’s degree in applied positive psychology from University of Pennsylvania and a juris doctor degree from Columbia School of Law.
