DENVER – November 17, 2020 – – Optiv Security, a security solutions integrator delivering end-to-end cybersecurity solutions, today announced its virtual concert and client and employee appreciation event raised $58,640 to benefit Folds of Honor, a non-profit that provides scholarships for children of fallen or injured service people. The donation is the latest in a series of efforts from the company’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative, which also announced a scholarship for Black, African American STEM students via its Black Employee Network earlier this month.

"Veterans deserve a place to work where they can continue to defend and serve upon leaving military service,” said Kevin Lynch, Optiv CEO. “Optiv’s mandate to be a trusted cybersecurity partner perfectly aligns with this important objective. We plan to foster an even greater community of veterans at Optiv by supporting veteran-specific recruiting externally and our Optiv Vets [OVETS] group internally. It’s up to us to build a company we’re all proud to call home.”

More than 10 percent of Optiv employees are active, reservist and retired military. The company has worked with the Wounded Warrior Project and Folds of Honor in the past and plans to continue to support veterans and service members through its OVETS Diversity, Equity and Inclusion affinity group.

“I am humbled and honored at the outpouring of support from Optiv and their partners,” said Folds of Honor founder and CEO, Lt. Col. Dan Rooney. “Thank you for helping us provide life changing educational scholarships to the military families we serve.”

Folds of Honor has awarded more than 24,000 educational scholarships since its inception in 2007.
