As the world continues to rely on technology and as it continues to progress exponentially every day, the demand for increasingly sophisticated security solutions continues to soar. While technology is advancing, so are the threats companies face and yet the talent pool isn’t keeping pace. CSIS reports that 82 percent of employers feel there is shortage of candidates with the necessary cybersecurity skills, and 71 percent believe this shortage causes “direct and measurable damage to their organizations.” Though many universities offer courses and majors in information security and related fields, several do not adequately prepare graduates to take on the high-level skills needed to protect companies from hackers. These roles allow recent graduates or individuals with a desire to expand their security knowledge to train under our highly skilled managers and grow with Optiv. Here are some of the responsibilities for these positions: Application Security: Delivering security consulting services including: Application security assessments Secure code reviews IoT and mobile security assessments Software development lifecycle (SDLC) management programs Attack and Penetration: Deliver security services to include (but not limited to) vulnerability management, vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, adversarial emulation activities, social engineering, wireless security and infrastructure security. Incident Management: Deliver security services to include (but not limited to) incident response, digital forensics, cyber investigations, and incident triage and management.
