Optiv Associates: Welcoming the Next Generation

Optiv Associates: Welcoming the Next Generation

There is no better feeling than enabling up-and-coming talent and watching their careers take off. – Bill Young, Vice President, Threat Management

Creating Confidence for a More Connected World

According to Gartner, the global information security market is forecast to reach $170.4 billion in 2022. As the world continues to rely on technology and as it continues to progress exponentially every day, the demand for increasingly sophisticated security solutions continues to soar. Optiv Security is an industry-leading security solutions integrator, and as such, we require top talent to provide and implement the services our clients need to create confidence in this more connected world.

While technology is advancing, so are the threats companies face and yet the talent pool isn’t keeping pace. CSIS reports that 82 percent of employers feel there is shortage of candidates with the necessary cybersecurity skills, and 71 percent believe this shortage causes “direct and measurable damage to their organizations.” Though many universities offer courses and majors in information security and related fields, several do not adequately prepare graduates to take on the high-level skills needed to protect companies from hackers.

Unlocking Tomorrow

Optiv acknowledges the extraordinary need for security professionals, which is why we invest heavily in Associate level positions. These roles allow recent graduates or individuals with a desire to expand their security knowledge to train under our highly skilled managers and grow with Optiv. There is an endless supply of amazing talent out there. It’s just tough to find that first opportunity. The delivery focus will be in Application Security, Attack and Penetration and Incident Management. We want to bring in people who have a pure passion for this industry and who understand what it means to work in the trenches—and we will do what it takes to help them advance their careers and skillset. By investing in future talent, we are preparing for the future of the industry, the future of Optiv and providing new opportunities. Here are some of the responsibilities for these positions:
