DENVER - April 20, 2010 - Accuvant, the only research-driven information security partner delivering alignment, clarity and confidence to enterprise clients, announced today that it has deployed remote access IT management and Web filtering solutions for Sheetz, one of the fastest growing, family-owned convenience store chains in the world.

PCI compliance requires customer credit card data that is stored, processed or transmitted be protected. Sheetz needed to ensure the integrity and security of its customer credit card data as it flowed through its Point-of-Sale (POS) system, across a Wide Area Network (WAN) and finally, on to its corporate office. To help with this critical project, Sheetz contacted Accuvant.

Accuvant deployed a remote access IT management solution that provides Sheetz administrators with the ability to maintain, proactively update and secure the company's POS systems remotely from a central location. Additionally, the Web filtering component of the solution allows the company to analyze Internet surfing habits of employees throughout the company, identifying and blocking any inappropriate or illegal activity that could lead to vulnerabilities in the security network.
