Where Commitment Meets Impact: 2025 Optiv Chips In Year in Review

January 10, 2026

As I look back on 2025, the Optiv Chips In story is one of remarkable growth, strengthened partnerships and an unwavering commitment to uplift our communities. Our support of local nonprofits continues to inspire tomorrow’s cyber leaders, from packing meals and sorting food to fostering STEAM education and learning.

This year, I’m proud to say that our impact included:

  • 243,000 meals donated to fight hunger
  • 4,000 volunteer hours supporting 256 causes
  • 1,100 volunteers through Optiv Chips In
  • 11 volunteer events in OptivCon cities

Securing Our Future

The year began at Optiv Kick Off with a hands-on effort to support families in Denver and the local STEAM Lab. Together, employees and executives donated 150,000 meals, ensuring local families received items they needed most.

April marked our second-annual Volunteer Week to align with Global Volunteer Month. Across 30 cities worldwide, more than 360 Optiv volunteers dedicated 1,000 hours to fight hunger, pack meals, sort food and make a difference one meal at a time.

Lastly, Giving Tuesday remains a cherished tradition each year. In December, Optiv employees packed nearly 93,000 holiday meals for our neighbors and donated $18,390 to 42 causes, a testament to the collective passion of our people.

Closing Technology Gaps

Our STEAM Labs continue to grow in 2025. Each location received new tools such as laser cutters, projectors and cutting-edge software for hands-on learning.

In India, we opened a second STEAM Lab with a digital literacy educator at both locations five days a week. In Canada, we launched our first five-week cybersecurity awareness training for seniors and high school students, donated refurbished laptops and supported student teams competing in FIRST Robotics.

At OptivCon, Optiv donated 50 drones with curriculum and nearly $12,000 to 11 nonprofit partners with employees, clients and attendees. And for the first time, Optiv Chips In invited Black Hat USA attendees to participate in cyber trivia and Plinko, turning awareness into action and raising $20,000 for Savvy Cyber Kids.

Voices from Our Partners

Many of our nonprofit partners took the time to send thank you notes. Here are a few of my favorite excerpts:

  • “You made it possible for Operation Breakthrough to register two teams in First LEGO League robotics. With Optiv’s help, we took two teams to a qualifier tournament in Kansas City. One team advanced to the championship at Union Station and won an award for engineering excellence.”

    Matthew Peterson, Operation Breakthrough

  • “Optiv’s support has allowed our students to get hands-on, making our programs more engaging. We also use the coding robots, Raspberry Pi computers and soon drones at community events, giving youth hands-on tech activities to explore.”

    Victoria Kyereme, Girls Dream Code

  • “Your investment inspires curiosity, builds confidence and prepares our kids with skills for the future. Optiv’s participation is helping kids see themselves as future innovators, engineers, and leaders.”

Ian Jacobs, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver

  • “One of our fifth graders, after demonstrating a coded robot, told us: ‘I didn’t know I could do this until BigHope gave me the chance.’ Stories like this highlight why the community portion of OptivCon is so important and how it inspires the next generation of innovators.”

    Kennedy Sleet, BigHope Dallas

Looking Ahead

Each year, our people step forward to serve and our impact continues to grow. Our nonprofit partners know they can count on Optiv Chips In because we are more than a corporate sponsor. We are a trusted ally. Together, we are building a legacy of generosity, innovation and hope, one that will empower generations to come.

To everyone who helped our communities secure their full potential — thank you. Every act of kindness, big or small, truly makes a difference, and I’m optimistic about what we will accomplish as One Optiv in 2026. We’re ready to make a greater impact and transform lives because when we chip in, the possibilities are truly limitless.
