EDR - Endpoint Detection and Response

EDR solutions record key activity of endpoints and provide security analysts with necessary information to conduct both reactive and proactive threat investigations.

Traditional endpoint security technologies focused on preventing potential attacks.  However, as attacks grew more sophisticated and pierced even the best prevention technology, new technologies were required to both enable detection and guide the response for attacks. These factors gave rise to EDR. Among other functions, EDR records key activity of endpoints and provides security analysts with necessary information to conduct both reactive and proactive threat investigations.
